The ideal age to start skating on-line is between five and six years old, and does not require a physical quality. Even though, there are peolpe with a small size that always have less difficulty to mantein the balance than the tallest and slim. But also, if she or he wants to learn figure skating, it should require years of discipline, training and practice.

This kind of sport is very beneficial to the health as run or ride a bike. When a person skates softly and constantly in an intervale of 30 minutes, the body burns 285 calories approximately and produces in the heart 148 beats per minute. For this reason, there are some advantages and disadvantages to practice the figure skating such as:
- It works with the interior of the body, where the fat is concentrated and acumulated.
- The leg muscles are developed, increasing the strength.
- It increases the elasticity of the joints.
- It avoids the everyday concers of the mind, relax and help to rest.
- It is a fun sport.
- The accidents suffered by people training the figure skating, have been hit by falls.
In my opinion, figure skating is a complete sport, you can exercise all the muscles specially the legs. Therefore, the risk of falls is bigger and if this occurs, it is propable that you have an injury specially inthe wrists and the knees.
Definitely, I recomend to practice this fantastic sport.
